The following is an outline of the design process that will be guided by Cornerstone Architects. Cornerstone will participate in the needs assessment and focus groups to ensure a complete understanding of the project’s potential.Research Phase
Review existing planning documents
- Kick off meeting with Discovery Center and NorthSky
- Joint organizational meeting
- Meet separately with each entity to discuss individual goal, needs and desires
Development Phase
- Develop preliminary space program for each organization
- Review / refine space program with each organization
- Design charrette with all organizations
- Develop master plan concepts based on design charette
- Present mast plan concepts
- Review / discuss / select preferred concept
- Develop schematic designs based on approved space program
- Develop project phasing scenarios
- Develop probable cost estimates
Final Design
- Refine selected master site plan
- Refine building schematic designs based on approved space program
- Present final master site plan and schematic design, phasing and probable cost estimate
- Produce final master plan document booklet
