Traverse Tall Ship Company, LLC has been offering sailing adventures and educational experiences to the general public for over 30 years. Their abiding mission is to provide an affordable means for average folks to experience the beauty of Grand Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan from the deck of a majestic sailing vessel. In addition to their recreational cruises they have worked in partnership with Inland Seas Education Association to offer their Schoolship program aboard their vessel, Manitou. Together, they have provided school children from all over Michigan with a comprehensive environmental education, focused on Great Lakes ecology and stewardship, with the goal of instilling a desire to preserve this precious resource as they move to adulthood. We're proud to say that, since our founding in 1987, we have carried over 330,000 passengers from Michigan and the world aboard our vessels.
